Antagonism

from Serpent Crown by Wound

/

about

There is freedom of belief, but
unfortunately not everyone has the
freedom to decide objectively
whether and in whom or what they
want to believe. Sects and
religious communities perfidiously
teach a blinkered way of thinking
that is in absolute opposition to
individualism, freedom and freedom
of thought. Life is determined from
childhood by the lies of the faith
community. Once one has realized
the extent of such imprinting, an
antagonistic attitude towards
religious education is an obvious
consequence.

lyrics

infested child,
judge me for I´m blasphemous.
hide yourself in feeble tales.
thou shall shun me, as I am
a reflection of your dying world
of decadence, of savagery and perversion.

in fear of hell you block all doubts,
which is my soil for rebellion.
see it crush, your primeval myths.
depraved works of mad human fiction.

your life is a cage full of prejudice.
you are the enemy of boundlessness.

see me as the one possessed.
antagonist, seed of baal.
your truth is a fairytale,
shredded as your world will drown in hell,
in obsession, in misery and endless pain.

look at me with eyes full of contempt
and recognize your own poverty.
outside that blister of the untruth
cold emptiness is awaiting you in death.

Over the 10 years of band history the songs have become more complex and melodic, however, the roots have not been lost. The lyrics are mostly treatises from real life and its abysses. ... more
